The LGI2A laboratory had the pleasure of organizing, on February 10th at the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FSA) in Béthune, together with its partners, a morning event dedicated to Industry 4.0 as part of the MIRAI project — an ambitious collaborative initiative led by Pingflow and supported by the Hauts-de-France Region under the “Industrie du Futur” program. This event provided an opportunity to highlight the shared vision and commitment of all partners — Pingflow, Euralogistic, ARIA Hauts-de-France, and Groupe Bils-Deroo — alongside the University of Artois in contributing to the development of this regional initiative.

The MIRAI project aims to make Digital Visual Management 4.0 accessible to industrial SMEs and mid-sized companies by combining intelligent, connected, and modular solutions to make data visible, understandable, and actionable for shop-floor teams. It represents a pragmatic approach to industrial innovation, leveraging technologies such as IoT, artificial intelligence, and interactive interfaces to enable real-time monitoring, continuous improvement, and operational performance.

This morning session brought together researchers and industrial stakeholders to discuss the use of artificial intelligence for the Industry of the Future. Through presentations and demonstrations, the event helped demystify the concept of Large Language Models (LLMs) and showed how these technologies can be concretely applied to visual management, diagnostics, and decision support in order to enhance efficiency and responsiveness in automated production systems.

The MIRAI project also strengthens the synergy established between the LGI2A laboratory and the OPTILOGIX platform of the Industrial Engineering and Logistics program based at the Faculty of Applied Sciences in Béthune.
